Warehouse Preparation for Summer

Memorial Day brings the unofficial start to summer and that means warmer temperatures in the warehouse, loading dock and throughout the area. It is important that all workers stay hydrated so that they don’r suffer from heat exhaustion and injure themselves or their coworkers.

Many of our clients have extra water coolers throughout the warehouse so that their employees can stay hydrated and healthy. Another way to keep cool is to keep the air moving throughout the warehouse on loading docks. Loading and unloading the trucks with product can be a challenging endeavor as the truck sits in the sun. and becomes an oven.

We have the perfect solution for the oven scenario. Install a some of our used dock light and fan units. This helps circulate the stale hot air in the truck and replenish it with fresh air. If it is a dark cab then the light will help brighten up the work area.

The Dock light and fan units mount at the edge of the dock door. when you need to use it you just swivel it around the corner and aim it into the truck loading area. When you are finished with your work you simply swivel it back against the wall.
